It is easy to learn Friulan or to learn it again:

listening to all those who speak it regular may be enough; someone may prefer the careful reading of an anthology of Friulan Literature or of a novel written in "marilenghe"; it is also useful to attend the language courses organized by the Philological Society.

But why should we learn a useless language or learn it again?

1- On 25th November 1999, Parliament passed the law on the linguistic minorities. Thus Friulan will become a useful language at school, at office, as a means of communication and, if you can speak it, you maight be favoured when finding a job.

3- Those who know two languages are richer than those who know just one; those who Know three languages are richer than those who know two...

4- Those who know two languages, more or less important they are, can learn a third one more easily

5- Polyglots have a wider mentality than those who know only one language and the Friulans have always been polyglot owing to geographical and historical reasons. Do not give up being a polyglot, which is a traditional Character of the Friulans.

6- Being polyglot is the antidote against the levelling imposed by the most important languages, particulary by the "commercial" ones. Being polyglot is an aristocratic choice of freedom.

7- Both as a native and as an immigrant, remember that it is fine to learn Friulan.
